"In the last couple of days, we've just been blown away by the huge
number of views of the video and the enthusiasm of the audience at
MacRumors.com for the Click.TV functionality," said Mike Lanza. "The
audience searched and jumped to specific parts of the video where Jobs
said `cool,' for instance, and bloggers added their running commentary
about Jobs' performance on stage."
The Click.TV Player technology is applied to existing video in Flash
format by someone who wishes to create commentary about what’s
on screen. During the initial beta phase there is no cost for
individuals to use the technology, and integration is a simple matter
of filling out a form at www.click.tv and copying/pasting
self-generated HTML code. No software installation is required. Those
computer users watching Web content in the Click.TV format need not
download any special applications to view the resulting annotated
video content beyond the Adobe Flash Player that most Internet users
already have. The Click.TV Player works in Mac and PC formats and is
available for numerous languages around the world including English,
Japanese, Chinese, Norwegian, and most European languages.
