Click.TV Powers Interactive State of the Union Video
San Francisco, Jan. 24, 2006 – Click.TV, an online video tools
provider delivering interactivity in video, provides blogger
participation, searchability, and browsability to the 2007 State of
the Union on www.thinkprogress.org, a major political blog. See
thinkprogress.org/2007/01/24/annotated-sotu/
"We were able to enable ThinkProgress to add commentary responding to
specific parts of the State of the Union. The audience loved that,"
said Mike Lanza, founder and CEO of Click.TV. "The audience also
really liked the ability to browse through the indexed parts of the
video, search the video on an issue they care about –
`healthcare,' for instance – and jump to those parts of the
State of the Union that talks about `healthcare.'"
The Click.TV Player technology is applied to existing video in Flash
format by someone who wishes to create commentary about what’s
on screen. During the initial beta phase there is no cost for
individuals to use the technology, and integration is a simple matter
of filling out a form at click.tv and copying/pasting
self-generated HTML code. No software installation is required. Those
computer users watching Web content in the Click.TV format need not
download any special applications to view the resulting annotated
video content beyond the Adobe Flash Player that most Internet users
already have. The Click.TV Player works in Mac and PC formats and is
available for numerous languages around the world including English,
Japanese, Chinese, Norwegian, and most European languages.
